Mummified…a murderous entity whose architects started furnishing its concept back on 2003, Christian “Dead” Calderon & Ronald “The Master Butcher “Jimenez both with plenty of expertise from the their previews bands (Golgotha & Pseudostratiffied Epithelium repectively) together managed themselves to get through unstable lineup changes after recording their debut work “Protocol of Mummification” self released somewhere in 2005.

After the aforementioned release, Mummified starts looking for new members to join the ranks of the band, unfortunately and after almost 3 years of continuous research both sadly confirm the lack of serious candidates given the lack of commitment and ownership with the overall proposal concept. Tired of all this “rotation” Mummified dares to try a new “work method” using programmed drums and as a result of this initiative both recorded “Psychotic Hallucinations of Crucifixion” around 2006/2007 which was later featured on “Craneo Metal Comp. Vol 1”. 

This song was recorded at Dreamers Studios, and showed the band moving to a more brutal form of Blackened GORE. Even when Mummified has been active since the very beginning, the lack of releases was affecting it, so in a critical moment of its existence, and when future was pretty pessimist …the band was in a “coma” state; Ronald & Christian met Carlos Guardia from Planeta C Studios, re known sound engineer & guitarist in which Ronald & Christian see a good chance to make synergy for the sake of the band.

After that moment, Mummified walks once more, but this time stronger, heavier and far more brutal than ever, both begin the composition of Mummified debut album “Embalming the Nazarene” mainly in the studio and result of this catharsis are 11 brand new spawns of pure Horror Death Metal…11 songs that show Mummified moving to a more wide direction, leaving the basic Gore field of the past, and expanding towards a Brutal form of Doomy/Blackened/Death much more complex than any previews release, much more ambitious…it was everything or nothing. With t

he album on its way, the fortune smiles to the hungry duo once more in 2009 when female drummer Paola “Levitgirl” Cascante joins Mummified, given her high drumming skills but also her passion and thirst for the new Mummified concept, the band continues with the composition/recording process… The story of Mummified has been the story of perseverance, the conviction upon a concept and idea, that’s why the band stands for. Even when Mummified has been almost dead several times, always rises up …unconditionally proclaiming its truth…continuously delivering its message…a message of prophetic visions where trends & fashion wimps get “extirpated” for once and for all.

The most recent addition tot the band has been “Globo”, a young musician with extremely high skills on the bass, something that Mummified fans will confirm listening his “bass ass” bass lines on the album. The Present Mummified is finishing the recording phase of their “Embalming the Nazarene”, in the mean time is starting an aggressive campaign of promotion and contacts to explore the chances to have this work released through a serious label (s). Three out of the eleven songs have been chosen to be included on a promo that will be sent strictly to strategic labels that might fit the Mummified concept.
